Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge success could effectively replace the S26 Plus

Galaxy S25 Edge launch

At the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, Samsung introduced its fourth device in the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, the brand did not reveal what it includes, how much it costs, and when people can buy it. Now, a report states that if the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge proves to be a success, it will effectively replace the Galaxy S26 Plus, making it the larger model in the series.

According to tipster MaxJambor, “If the Galaxy S25 Edge proves to be a success, Samsung could consider replacing it with the Galaxy S26 Plus.” This means that next year’s flagship smartphone series will face an iPhone 17-inspired shakeup.

Also, a Samsung fan said yes, but it still doesn’t have the third camera sensor and the bigger battery like the S25 Plus, so it’s not a full replacement, but I guess it’s something different.

As such, Apple is reportedly launching the iPhone 17 Air in place of the iPhone 17 Plus later this year.

According to an old report, the Korean tech giant will launch the Galaxy S25 Edge on April 16, 2025, and make the device available for purchase in May 2025. According to the report, the phone will come in three colors: black, blue, and silver. Apart from this, it is also said that the company will price it slightly higher than the Galaxy S25.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will have a 3786mAh battery, which will be sold as 3900mAh. This is smaller than the regular Galaxy S25, which may be disappointing for some users.
