Android plans new options for customizing your lock screen clock

Over time, Android releases make your Android phone better with new features and improvements. Now, Google is gearing up to add more ways to customize the clock on their lock screen soon on Android smartphones.

Last year’s Android 14 update brings a whole new customization picker making personalizing your lockscreen and homescreen even easier. This update added the ability to change the style of the clock in addition to customizing the two shortcuts at the bottom of the lock screen. Now, Google is working on adding new features to the 9 clock style option in the future release of Android.

Google recently released the Android 15 QPR2 Beya 2 for Pixel phones. Meanwhile, @MishaalRahman spotted the new setting in the Pixel wallpaper app that allows Android users to change the lock screen clock style in various options.

According to the information, the search tech giant is preparing to add a new page for customizing the shape of the lock screen clock, which will allow you to adjust the weight, width, roundness, and slant. You can check the new settings page available below.

Android One UI 7 lock screen clock

This new settings page will be accessed by clicking on a new pencil/edit button shown on the top of the look screen clock-style card. However, these features are not available on the Pixel phones.

This lock screen clock feature isn’t available to everyone yet. These new customization features give users more style than you think.

Android 15 One UI 7 lock screen clock styles

Samsung’s new Android 15-based One UI 7 for Galaxy phones and tablets brings a redesigned UI as well as tons of new features one of them lock screen clock styles. The Korean tech giant introduced a total of ten lock screen clock styles in One UI 7. Out of these, two are new and have an animated style. Moreover, you can customize each style’s font, colour, and size.
