One UI 7 Filter Notifications

The One UI 7 update is packed with new features, which you can read about in the dedicated article here. Last month, the company released the Beta 2 with some minor changes and improvements that didn’t make it to the official announcement or changelog. One such feature in One UI 7 Beta 2 is the ability to filter Notifications.

You can filter Notifications in One UI 7 into three options

The One UI 7 Filter Notifications feature allows you to categorize the less important ones for Galaxy users and show them as a group at the bottom of your notification panel. You can select the type of notifications you want to filter. There are three types of filtering notifications: Old Notifications, Background Activities, and Minimal Notifications.

You can access the Filter Notifications feature by navigating to Settings >> Notifications >> Advanced settings and tapping the Filter notifications.

  1. Old Notifications: This filter is designed to group Notifications that were received more than a few days ago, no specific days.
  2. Background Activities filter notifications are used to show that an app is running in the background.
  3. Minimal Notifications: The filter uses notifications that you’ve manually minimized in Notification Settings.

Moreover, Samsung allows users to choose an option between Together and Separate modes for how their notifications and quick settings are displayed. Plus, the company has redesigned the Notification Panel to make it simpler, cleaner, and easier to use with the One UI 7. With these new modifications, this update delivers improved control over how you interact with notifications.

With One UI 7, Samsung’s strategy is to reduce notification clutter. At the same time, it maintains the visibility of less urgent notifications without disrupting the main notification flow, a balance that other solutions often miss.

In addition to the Filter Notifications, this update is loaded with a range of hidden features including Audio playback, Wi-Fi Filter network, Gaming Motion smoothness, Enhanced battery protection, Media Player widget combines Galaxy Buds controls, and more.
