Just a couple of days before the end of January 2025, Samsung released a new software update to the company’s entry-level M-series smartphone from around thee years ago, the Galaxy M04. This fresh update brings the January 2025 security patch to the phone that contains fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities.

Now the company is optimizing these security codes with a new update. Details reveal that the Galaxy M04 is getting a new January 2025 update with One UI M045FXXSAEYAI version and a software package of 256.48 Megabytes.

The tech giant has improved the system stability with the new version. Phone users may observe seamless performance and bug-free experience.

Currently, the Korean tech giant is rolling out a new software update for the international variant of the Galaxy M04 in India, which has model number SM-M045F  and the company will make it available in more countries soon.

According to SMR, the January 2025 security patch includes fixes from both Google and Samsung to improve system security and stability. Google addresses 5 critical and 24 high-level CVEs. Notably, 1 CVE was already covered in a previous update and, 2 CVEs are not applicable to Samsung devices.

Additionally, Samsung has also added its own fixes to the patch, which includes 22 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items that mainly solve problems with Samsung’s Sound Picker, Samsung Messages, Notification Manager, and Bootloader.

It may further fix any hidden bugs or defects in the Galaxy device system and offer a more reliable functioning. Hence, you should prioritize this software update and download it on your entry-level M-series smartphone at the earliest. 

As always, the firmware is being rolled out slowly at the moment, so it may take a few hours or days to reach all models To install, follow the steps given below.

  • Go to the Settings app
  • Select the Software Updates
  • Click on Download and install
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to install the update

Samsung’s June 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 is currently available in Europe, and the company will expand it soon to more countries. The fresh update installs the latest Android security patch released in June 2025 to improve system security.

June 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 can be identified via One UI build version F731BXXS5EYF1 and F946BXXS5EYF1, respectively. It is an initial rollout, so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.

It is worth noting that this update is based on Android 15 and One UI 7. Users of these devices will get the One UI 8 update in the coming months. Samsung has not confirmed these smartphones for beta, so it is possible that users may get the stable update directly.

Samsung June 2025 Security Patch Details

Samsung’s March 2025 security update brings critical fixes for more than 55 vulnerabilities found in older versions of the software. Google patched 36 high-level security issues. This month’s Android patch does not fix any critical or moderate labeled CVEs.

Samsung has also targeted 19 specific security vulnerabilities and exposures (SVEs), including issues related to the camera, AudioService,  Samsung Cloud for Galaxy Watch, ThemeManager, ScreenCapture for Galaxy Watch, fingerprint trustlet, Bluetooth, and increasing the overall security of its devices.

Samsung Galaxy A56 joins One UI 8 testing as beta release nears

Samsung has reportedly started developing One UI 8 for the Galaxy A56 smartphone. The company has already released an Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Just recently, a new build for the Galaxy A56 smartphone has surfaced, indicating that Samsung is internally working on One UI 8. The build, identified as A566BXXU4BYF7, has been spotted via a reliable tipster, @tarunvats33. Testing is underway for the European variant as PLS is Poland’s CSC code.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 smartphone is currently running on Android 15-based One UI 7. However, users are waiting for the next major update to try out new features. The special thing is that this device is eligible for the first major software update as One UI 8.

Based on Android 16, One UI 8 focuses on improving the experience of apps, including productivity, multitasking, reminders, calendar, modes and routines, and health. The software’s phone system, camera, security, privacy, and accessibility are also getting improvements.
