One UI 8 to bring AI video summary tool to Samsung devices

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 foldables are expected to feature Android 16, along with the new One UI 8 version. Now, a report suggests that Samsung is building a new AI video summary tool that it will introduce with One UI 8.
The AI video summary feature powered by Galaxy AI will be unlocked in One UI 8. The video summary feature will use AI to summarize videos based on processing speed, video, and captions to analyze the video along with title, description, and captions, leveraging a multi-modal AI model.
Previous reports have revealed that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 with One UI 8, with the firmware reaching eligible devices soon. Also, test builds of One UI 8 have already been made available on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 6, and others have done so as well.
It is worth noting that the Galaxy S25 series, which launched in January 2025 with One UI 7, could get One UI 8 soon after the foldable. The Korean tech giant’s move to an earlier One UI 8 release reflects its response to user feedback and Google’s accelerated schedule.
One UI 8 plans to redesign Samsung’s native apps like browser and weather, better parental controls, and Android 16 for eligible devices. Note, as of now, Samsung has not shared official details about One UI 8 and its features or the launch of foldables.
