Galaxy S25 Edge design materials revealed: Ceramic build
The Galaxy S25 Edge is a new addition to the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup that will offer powerful capabilities at a more affordable price. The processor of the device has last week been revealed via Geekbench and a new insight talks about the design materials of the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge.
Talking about design materials, the side frame of the Galaxy S25 Edge model is made of aluminum (possibly Armor Aluminum), but ceramic material will be used at the back for better durability.
However, the report does not mention whether the back of the phone is completely ceramic or whether it will be a glass variant with fused ceramic material.
Previous reports have claimed that the Galaxy S25 Edge could be just 5.84mm thick, which is thinner than the 7.2mm Galaxy S25. The thickness facts are based on the prototype shown by Samsung at the Unpacked 2025 event.
Galaxy S25 Edge specifications
Leaks suggest the first kind of Samsung might measure around 5.84mm in thickness, making it one of the slimmest flagships out there. The phone is expected to sport a 6.7 to 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which enables fast, smooth performance, incredible power efficiency, and Galaxy AI.
The slimmest flagship is rumored to come with a dual-camera setup at the back, featuring a 200MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens and it might not have the zoom lens like the S25 Ultra.
The Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge in April or May this year. Stay tuned for more information. The phone is expected to feature a 3,900mAh battery and to support 25W wired charging.
The Galaxy S25 Edge will likely run on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7. Like the S25 lineup, the phone will support up to 7 years of software support.
