Here’s when you can expect One UI 7 Beta 3 to arrive on your Samsung phone?

Yesterday, Samsung released the One UI 7 beta 2 for the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Now, Samsung’s Beta participants are waiting for the release of One UI 7 Beta 3.

One UI 7 beta 2 brings new features in the Game Booster for gaming, the removal of the Secured by Knox watermark on the App drawer, changes in the Quick panel, and some other bug fixes as well as improvements.

However, Samsung Support in India already disclosed the One UI 7 beta release schedule, which reveals that the company could roll out a Beta update every Monday. As per the information, the second beta will be released on December 23 and the third will be rolled out on December 30.

When to expect the One UI 7 Beta 3

One UI 7 Beta 2 is scheduled to be rolled out on December 23, 2024, in India on the same day Samsung releases the One UI 7 Beta 3 update for Beta participants in Korea, the US, the UK, and Germany.

In India and Poland, Galaxy S24 users will get the third One UI Beta update with the One UI 7 Beta 2 numbering. The upcoming One UI 7 beta will fix some issues that the Galaxy S24 will face or is facing in the current beta version. Notable, the most-awaited App lock feature could also be added, but there are some conditions for this.

Notable, This neta schedule is subject to change as generally One UI beta build for the Galaxy devices will roll out when it is ready.

The One UI 7 Beta update is expected to be released to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the coming weeks. The Korean tech giant could release a total of around 4-5 beta updates before releasing the stable One UI 7 update sometime in Q1 of 2025.

In Korea, Samsung has kicked off the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Tab S10, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Z Fold5, and Galaxy Z Flip5. The update follows the One UI 7 deployment for Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold5, as well as Galaxy Z Flip5 users in the same region, which began earlier.

These users are among the first to experience this update, which promises a smoother, more intuitive experience with a refined user interface, improved performance, enhanced privacy controls, and new customization options that align with Samsung’s vision for a seamless and intuitive user experience.

One UI 7 comes with a brand new look for your Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Tab S10, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Z Fold5, and Galaxy Z Flip5, including a sleeker user interface, smoother animations for maximum interactions, and an improved flow across the system.

Over the next few days and weeks, the Korean tech giant will open up the One UI 7 distribution to older flagships like the Galaxy S22 and S21 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4/3, and Z Fold 4/3.

To note, the company has started the US rollout for select devices, including the S24 series, Z Fold6, and Z Flip6 from April 10, but the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Tab S10, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Z Fold5, and Galaxy Z Flip5 and others are still pending. The company’s phased approach prioritises flagships, with mid-range devices like the Galaxy A-series scheduled for June.

Your device should send a notification for a software upgrade. In the meantime, you can manually get the latest software from Samsung’s servers by navigating through Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Galaxy S22 users with One UI 7 to miss 5 major AI features

Samsung users can try out One UI 7 on the Galaxy S22 Plus virtually. The update’s rollout hasn’t yet begun, but the company is moving towards kicking off a public rollout next month. Samsung’s latest RTL refresh brings One UI 7 to the Galaxy S22 series, but users may be disappointed as they miss out on 5 major AI features with One UI 7.

One UI 7 is available on the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Notably, the latest flagships exclusively run the Stable One UI 7, last year’s flagships have Beta access to the software, and the Galaxy S22+ is eligible for RTL.

The RTL listing was recently updated as a video spread on Reddit and X that shows One UI 7 running on a Galaxy S22+ using Samsung’s Remote Test Lab.

The video reveals that the update for the S22 series will not include many of the cutting-edge AI features found in Samsung’s latest Galaxy S25 series.

Today, with beta 4 Google expanded Android 16 Beta to select non-Pixel flagship devices from partner brands. Samsung, as always, is skipping the Android 16 Beta Program, while the new OS is available for select devices launched by Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, vivo, and Xiaomi.

Google released Android 16 beta 4 with a second version of platform stability and announced that apps compatible with the new OS will now be available on the Play Store.

Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, and Xiaomi have opened beta registration windows for their latest flagship devices launched in the last few months. Samsung, however, is yet to complete One UI 7 for its Galaxy devices, but will soon roll out the stable One UI 7 and launch an independent One UI beta program.

Last week, it was revealed that the company is already working on Android 16’s adaptation and testing the alleged One UI 8 on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones.
