Samsung One UI 7 brings new parental control features to the Galaxy S25 series
Last month, Samsung launched its latest edition of S series flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S25 series. During the announcement, the company talked a lot about security and privacy, its new features, and how it helps the users. However, it doesn’t mean that Samsung has forgotten about parental control features on Galaxy S25 with One UI 7, which controls what children can access on the Samsung Internet browser and Galaxy Store.
One UI 7 brings new parental control features to Galaxy S25
As discovered by Android Authority, on the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 7, new parental control features let parents manage what content children can access through the Samsung Internet and Galaxy Store apps, though.
These features include the ability to block sexually explicit and violent web content in the Samsung Internet app. In addition, it also includes the ability to set a maximum rating for apps and games from the Galaxy Store.
While this is a great feature, parents can set the Galaxy Store to only allow apps rated for all ages, 12+, 16+, or 18+. This ensures that kids don’t accidentally download apps or games that are inappropriate for their age.
How to access One UI 7 enhanced parental controls features
To use the new feature on your Galaxy S25, go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing and parental controls and there’s a new Content restrictions page that isn’t present in previous versions of One UI.
Once enter the Content Restrictions page, you will see the Web content and App and game age ratings.
- Web content helps to control the types of websites allowed in the Samsung Internet app to browse.
- Allows all sites: No sites will be blocked
- Block explicit sites: No filter is perfect, but this will help to block sexually explicit and violent sites.
- App and Game Age Ratings Tool helps you set the maximum allowed rating for apps and games from the Galaxy Store.
