Galaxy F54 November 2024 update

This month is almost to end and right before that happens, Samsung has started releasing the November 2024 security update to the Galaxy F54 5G and Galaxy F34 5G. This update is currently rolling out in India and the firm will soon expand it to all models.

The most trusted smartphone brand is making the November 2024 security update available for Samsung Galaxy F54 5G and Galaxy F34 5G with the firmware build version E546BXXS8CXK2 and E346BXXS7CXK4 in India. As usual, it is an initial rollout so it may take some hours to reach all eligible models.

What’s new

The latest update installs the latest Android security patch to make your device more secure, however, it does not include any new features or changes. Notable, the November 2024 security update fixes several issues including 38 high-level CVEs for Google and 13 SVEs for Samsung.

These SVEs are mainly related to the system service,  Multiple users, Dex mode, Galaxy Watch, and System Settings to provide smoother operations.

Users are advised to install and download the update promptly to benefits from the improved security and stability measures.

How to update

Your Galaxy F54 5G and Galaxy F34 5G should automatically notify you about the November 2024 security update. However, if it has not you can check for the firmware manually by going to the device’s Settings > Software Update section and clicking on the Download and install.

Future update

Samsung has put the Galaxy F54 5G and Galaxy F34 5G in the Quarterly Security Update schedule, which means that the company will offer one security patch to the device every three months. So, expect the next update to arrive before March 2025.

Both the devices launched with the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 and are eligible for four generations of OS degradation and five years of security patches. The phones should also get Android 15 (One UI 7) and Android 16 (One UI 8) after Samsing makes it available to the Galaxy flagship phones.

Samsung’s early One UI 7 official page was published yesterday and today it was deleted, which hints Beta program should be released soon for developers. However, the company already confirmed that the beta update will be available before the end of the year.
