Galaxy S25 supports Live Activities on AOD with One UI 7 Now Bar

The Now Bar feature on the Galaxy S25 series running One UI 7 allows you to display information such as live notifications, music, or modes and routines on the lock screen. Now, we get the information that the Galaxy S25 with One UI 7 supports Live Activities on AOD (Always On Display) with Now Bar.

Samsung first introduced Now Bar with the One UI 7 Beta program for the Galaxy S24 series, which highlights relevant activities across various features like Interpreter, Music, Recording, Stopwatch, and more.

A few days ago, Samsung also expanded the One UI 7 Now bar functionality by introducing Now Brief, you can get personalized briefings of specific content that gets updated in the brief card throughout the day.

Recently, an X (Formally Twitter) user shared an image that reveals that the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 7 supports Live Activities on the AOD (Always On Display) with Now Bar. You can see the image below.

You’ll see this image with the Galaxy S25, which shows the Now bar appearing in a pill shape on the AOD, just like it does on the lock screen. Yet, unlike the lock screen, it does not offer shortcut buttons at the bottom.

Now Brief is active between the user’s wake-up time and sleep time, but the timing of Now Brief notifications can vary depending on a number of factors. In addition, it automatically provides personalized information based on the user’s lifestyle, including the following:

Health
Wallet
Events and tasks

Currently, the Now Brief feature is only available for the Galaxy S25 series. We expect Samsung to bring this feature to older Galaxy devices including the Galaxy S24 series once the stable One UI 7 update rollout begins.

It is noteworthy that certain features or functions of Now Brief may vary based on user behavior, device information, country/region, software version, and other factors.

According to the leaker, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a 24MP default and portrait mode. It may also feature Adaptive Pixel, which reduces noise by combining multiple low-resolution photos into one high-resolution image.

Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra Optical has a focus speed slider for portrait and video modes. Camera assistance mode – allows turning off HDR10+ and using regular HDR.
