Galaxy Z Fold 7 high-resolution CAD renders

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 high-resolution CAD renders emerge for the first time on the internet, courtesy of well-known tipster Onleaks in collaboration with AndroidHeadlines. The source revealed official-like renders of the Z Fold 7 smartphone which are close to reality.

These CAD renders reveal that its main highlight will only be the slim look and the rest of the look will match last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6. In addition to Galaxy Z Fold 7 renders, it also shared some interesting specifications.

According to the information, when folded, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could measure around 158.4 x 143.1 x 4.5mm, compared to 153.5 x 132.6 and 5.6mm on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The upcoming flagship will be just 4.5mm thick when opened and 9.5mm when folded, making it much thinner than Samsung’s existing foldable phones.

Moreover, this puts it in the line of the thinnest foldable phones in the market, which includes the Oppo Find N5 and Honor Magic V3. Also, the device is about 1mm thinner than the previous generation and this is quite evident in the renders. In comparison, the Fold 7 is 9mm thick in the closed state, and the Fold 6 will be 12.1mm thick when folded.

The next-gen foldable phone is expected to use a Galaxy version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite found in the Galaxy S25 series. It will likely come with Android 15-based One UI 7.

Sadly, the phone might have the same 4,400mAh battery as the current model, making it the smallest among the rivals. Samsung might boost battery life by up to an hour with the latest chipset, but we’ll have to see how it performs like the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Judging by the source’s track of the renders, Samsung’s official Galaxy Z Fold 7 will look similar to these leaked renders. Smartphone designs are usually finalized months before they enter mass production, and we expect more design renders to arrive shortly which will help us get a deeper look at the changes.
