Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 200MP telephoto could replace dual telephoto setup: Rumors

Although the Galaxy S25 Ultra has just launched, rumors about its successor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, have already surfaced. Now, there are rumors that Samsung may replace the dual telephoto setup on the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a 200MP telephoto camera.
According to tipster @Vhsss_God, Galaxy S26 Ultra may equip the 200-megapixel primary, 50-megapixel ultrawide, and a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with around 4x optical zoom feature. This report suggests that Samsung is planning to bring a 200MP telephoto instead of retaining the 10MP and 50MP telephoto in the S26 Ultra.
Previous reports suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature a camera with a variable aperture
Apart from the camera details, the Korean tech giant has reportedly replaced the 5000 mAh battery capacity with stacked battery technology and is also trying to go beyond 5500 mAh capacity.
As you know, Samsung removed Bluetooth from the S Pen stylus with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Now, the report suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra brings back S Pen with Bluetooth capability.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra introduced a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra has an updated 50MP ultrawide camera. With the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung may replace the dual telephoto setup with a 200MP telephoto camera.
Rumors should be taken with a pinch of salt. This is especially true for rumors that surface prematurely in the alleged early development of an upcoming device—and it’s even more true when said rumor is about an early prototype. Prototypes are subject to change by the report.
